In 1996, when an attempt was made to plow an area of land to plant vines, extraordinary discoveries were made that changed the course of the history of Herdade do Esporão in Reguengos de Monsaraz. The Perdigões Archaeological Complex was thus born. ERA Arqueologia's first project was in 1997 when it was founded. In 2019, the Perdigões Archaeological Complex was classified as a site of national interest, with the designation of "National Monument". This is ERA Arqueologia's first and oldest project.
Over the company's almost 24 years, there has been an evolution and a major change in the type of clients ERA Arqueologia works with. ERA Arqueologia works in the field of civil construction, consultancy, geology, topography, conservation and restoration of archaeological materials and structures.
